About the program

Anyone wanting to experience the most authentic Thailand should start in the north. Here there are no skyscrapers: there are golden temples perched on the mountains, night markets overflowing with handicrafts, and grandmothers cooking khao soi just like they did 80 years ago.

We begin in Chiang Mai with a sunrise visit to Doi Suthep and a day with rescued elephants at an ethical sanctuary. We then ascend to Pai to experience the slower pace of the valley. Our trip concludes in Chiang Rai with the White Temple and the Golden Triangle.

Groups of up to 12 people, boutique hotels and lodges surrounded by nature, Spanish-speaking guides in each city, and all transfers private. No crowds. No rush. The north as it should be experienced.

A full day with rescued elephants. We learn how to feed them, bathe them in the river, and the history of animal ethics in Thailand.

Morning at the market and a cooking class with a grandmother from the north. Afternoon on the rooftop of Thailand: waterfalls and royal pagodas.

Scenic drive along the 762 curves to Pai. Free afternoon in the valley: natural pools or hot springs. Overnight stay in a lodge among rice paddies.

Hidden waterfalls, a grand canyon, and sunset at the White Buddha viewpoint. Dinner at the street market.

We went down to Chiang Rai. We visited the White Temple (Wat Rong Khun) and the Blue Temple. We arrived at the hotel and had dinner at a local market.
